INTRO TO COMEDY WRITING – 3-day Boot Camp w. Rich Talarico
Rich shares insights and writing techniques from his 20+ years in late night TV (SNL, MADtv, Key & Peele, The Tonight Show) and from having written five resident company shows for Second City in Chicago. Students will learn how to write jokes, how to brainstorm and pitch their ideas and how to outline a scene and the key elements to story-structure, formatting and how to tell a story and –how to write a scene and come up with an ending.
Students will need to have a computer with wifi capability in order to write and submit their work during each class and between classes.
You must attend all three days of the class.
